Dear Community Members,

The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our district above and beyond the school’s budget.  Over the past 18 years, GDEF has awarded over $620,000 to fund hundreds of innovative and inspiring grants to enhance the quality of our students’ education.

In the last academic year, GDEF awarded 21 grants totaling over $45,000.  All five schools within the district received at least one grant this past year.  We granted new and different types of requests such as durable goods like standing desks, paint for the hardscapes, scoop seats, and yoga mats which enabled children to utilize outdoor learning environments.  We also supported professional development in promoting the resilience of children in a pandemic, teaching critical thinking skills, and considering diversity, equity, and inclusion in literacy.

Each of the grants was made possible by the generosity and support of donors within our community.  Your donations are directly returned to the hands and minds of our children in the form of play, science, arts, technology, math, literacy, social-emotional, and civics programming. Your support today will help ensure that our students will receive access to unique and innovative educational experiences that make them laugh and learn.

Thank you for your support,

The GDEF Board of Directors
