November 2020

Dear Community Members,

As we all know this year, our Groton Dunstable students, faculty, and staff are facing an unusual and challenging school year.  The budget of the district is even more directed towards demands on the day to day education of our children.  However, while our children’s bodies are limited to safe and contained spaces, their minds and learning can still soar if given impactful and inspiring educational tools and opportunities. We, as a community, have a unique opportunity to provide our children with distinctive and different learning experiences. The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation is motivated to support the GD faculty and staff in reaching these goals.  You can help us.

The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our district above and beyond the school’s budget.  Over the past 17 years, GDEF has provided nearly $600,000 to fund hundreds of innovative and inspiring grants to enhance the quality of our students’ education.  In the last academic year, GDEF awarded 25 grants totaling nearly $30,000.

Each of the grants awarded in the past 17 years was made possible by the generosity and support of GDEF donors within our community.  Your donations are directly returned to the hands and minds of our children in the form of play, science, arts, technology, math, literacy, and social-emotional and civics programming! Your support today will help ensure that our students will receive access to unique and innovative educational experiences that make them laugh and learn!

Thank you for your support,

The GDEF Board of Directors
