Groton Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF)
...helping our students "Reach for the Stars!"

Dear Community Members,
The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation (GDEF) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our district above and beyond the school’s budget. Over the past 19 years, GDEF has awarded nearly $650,000 to fund hundreds of innovative and inspiring grants to enhance the quality of our students’ education.
In the last academic year, GDEF awarded 11 grants across district schools totaling over $17,500. We granted new and different types of requests such as:
-
using digi-block manipulatives to enhance the mastery of math concepts at the elementary level,
-
new EKG machines for the high school science program,
-
and new decodable books for the kindergarten program.
We also supported professional development in Technology in Education as well as sponsoring the Robotomies and Interact Clubs.
Each of the grants was made possible by the generosity and support of donors within our community. Your donations are directly returned to the hands and minds of our children in the form of play, science, arts, technology, math, literacy, social-emotional learning, and civics programming. Your support today will help ensure that our students will receive access to unique and innovative educational experiences that make them laugh and learn.
Thank you for your support,
The GDEF Board of Directors
