Our
first major fundraiser was an
Antique Preview Party, Auction and Dance,
held on Friday,
October 10th, 2003
beneath the glow of moonlight,
under tents in the meadow
on the grounds of Jos. Kilbridge Antiques.
The evening's events included:
Groton Antiques Show Antique
Preview Party 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Light hors d'oeuvres
reception with music by
a trio from the Indian Hill Music Center 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Choral performance by the
Groton Dunstable High School Chorus 7:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Silent and Live
Auctions 8:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.
Dancing to the Indian Hill
Big Band 8:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Star-gazing from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
with expert astronomers from
Boston Telescope and
 The Christa McAuliffe
Planetarium,
assisted by our own local astronomer and educator Glenn Chaple!
The event generated net proceeds of over
$55,000 for
the enrichment of public education in our communities!
