Media Release Ticket Sales To Close Soon for GDEF’s 2nd Antique Preview Party, Auction and Dance! One of last fall’s most exciting events in Groton and Dunstable is happening again on October 8th, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., under tents in the meadow at Jos. Kilbridge Antiques in Groton. Last year’s fun-filled evening, the first major fundraiser for the non-profit Groton Dunstable Education Foundation, is being recreated with a few fun twists. Cathie diGrazia, Director of Jos. Kilbridge Antiques, which is again generously hosting this event the night before the fabulous Groton Antiques Show, has announced a sweepstakes! For each purchase from any of the Groton Antiques Show Dealers at the preview party on Friday evening or the next day at the Antiques Show, the buyer will receive one entry form for a chance to win a beautiful 5-piece farmhouse dining set consisting of a 5' plank top table with turned legs in Antique Brown and four matching chairs. Plan on arriving on time on the 8th for an exclusive preview and sale of these beautiful antiques and a gourmet hors d’oeuvres reception from Currier & Chives with music by a trio from Indian Hill. This will be followed by a silent and live auction, and dessert and dancing to the tunes of the Indian Hill Big Band. Wonderful silent and live auction items offer something for everyone! Come and bid on commemorative pieces of artwork, a tour for two of the Statehouse followed by lunch with Representative Robert Hargraves, who will be attending the party on the 8th with his lovely wife Ellen, Superintendent for a Day, “Created by Our Kids Art” including a quilt handmade by Prescott and Swallow Union first graders and elementary class decorated furniture, whale watching tickets, a Wyoming adventure, portrait photography, guitar lessons, fine dining and spirits, theatre tickets, a wide variety of home and garden items and more! Ticket sales for this wonderful event were brisk at Grotonfest over the weekend and invitations have gone home in elementary and Middle School student backpacks and as an insert in the High School Newsletter. Please complete the order form on the back of the invitation and mail in your payment to P.O. Box 266, Dunstable, MA 01827. Tickets can be purchased at Jos. Kilbridge Antiques, 134 Main Street in Groton through the end of this week or you can pick up invitations at the Main Street Café in Groton and The Dunstable Public Library to mail in your ticket order.
