Media Release Excitement Builds as October 10th Groton Dunstable Education Foundation Gala Event Draws Near As the Groton Dunstable Education Foundation’s first major fundraiser on October 10th at Jos. Kilbridge Antiques draws near, excitement is building among attendees and supporters. “The level of support and enthusiasm for this event has been overwhelming,” says Antique Preview Party Chair Sharon Schmidt of Dunstable, who is also Director of Fundraising for the GDEF. “I anticipated that our communities would embrace this important first fundraiser for the Foundation and we are so heartened to be expecting over 600 attendees.” As the GDEF and its many volunteers work in anticipation of a wonderful evening, the following information has been posted on its website: Parking will be available at the following locations as well as along Main Street*: Citizens Bank, Fleet National Bank, First Parish Unitarian Church, Groton Public Library, Groton Town Hall, Lawrence Academy, Moison ACE Hardware, Nashoba Vision and Prescott School (* If you wish to drop off your party before parking, the Stagecoach Inn has generously offered the use of their circular driveway for that purpose. Handicap parking will be available on the grounds at Jos. Kilbridge Antiques.) Once you arrive, please enter the grounds through the front door of the main house at Jos. Kilbridge Antiques and proceed to the third building for check-in and registration where you will receive your bidding number to be used for the silent and live auction. Then join us in the tents where you will be able to enjoy the night’s special events. We are very excited to provide you with an advance opportunity to review the many exciting silent and live auction items available to bid on that evening on our on-line program at http://www.gdefinc.org/Auction_Program.htm. We encourage you to pay for your purchases of auction items and star artwork by cash or check as the Education Foundation is charged a fee for all credit card transactions and we would much prefer that the funds be used to benefit our children!
