“There’s Magic in the Air” to Help Fund GDEF Grants!
Current Grant Cycle Closing November 1st

It’s not too late to get tickets for GDEF’s spectacular half-day program of fun and magic! The program, featuring the theatrically presented magic and juggling of performer Scott Jameson, is being made possible with the cooperation of GDAY as part of their Half-Day Initiative.  From the pizza lunch before the show to complimentary cookies and refreshments afterwards, the event promises to be entertaining for all!  The program will take place at the Middle School South, with lunch beginning at 12:00pm and the show beginning at 1:00pm.  There will also be a raffle, with prizes generously donated by Greco Graphics, Learning Express, the Lowell Lock Monsters, the Groton Dunstable Regional High School Cheerleaders, Nashoba Valley Ski Area and more!

Tickets are just $3.00 each in advance, with a maximum charge of $20.00 per family.  (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)  To pre-order tickets and pizza, provided by Domino’s, pick up an order form at the school offices or visit GDEF’s website at www.gdefinc.org to print one out.  Tickets for the show will be available for $5.00 each at the door, but pizza must be pre-ordered.  If pizza’s not your thing, bring a brown bag lunch and join in the fun, or just come for the show!

Proceeds from this event will be used to fund GDEF’s upcoming grant cycle.  There are only a few more days to submit an application for this cycle, which closes November 1st.  To print out a grant application, visit www.gdefinc.org.  Grant awards for this cycle will be announced the week of December 5th, 2005.

To date, GDEF has funded forty-nine grants totaling more than $86,000.  Grants have been implemented in every school in the District and have covered a broad range of disciplines, impacting every schoolchild in Groton and Dunstable.  For a complete listing of grants already funded, visit www.gdefinc.org.
