Media Release The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation Spring 2005 Grant Cycle Deadline is April 1 – No Fooling Grant applications for the Groton-Dunstable Education Foundation’s Spring 2005 grant are now being accepted and must be postmarked no later than April 1; recipients will be announced the second week of May. The GDEF Board of Directors scheduled this cycle so that applicants can take advantage of opportunities for student learning and professional development during the summer as well as academic programs for next fall. The Spring 2004 cycle funded grants for programs that enriched students and teachers across the District in the areas of math, science, music, Spanish and graphic design, and the Foundation hopes to fund more programs this year that will further its goal of broadening the educational program. For an overview of grants awarded, visit the Grant Applications page on the GDEF website at www.gdefinc.org. The GDEF will consider applications for any program or professional development experience that will enhance the quality of education in Groton-Dunstable’s publicly funded schools. While the Foundation's vision focuses on academic- and arts-oriented programs, any proposal which seeks to engage a student's curiosity, encourage a lifelong love of learning and desire to strive for excellence, and embrace the overall development of the student will be considered.
