Media Release Groton Dunstable Education Foundation Announces “Grant Writing Workshops” In an effort to ensure a second successful grant cycle, the GDEF is pleased to announce our “Grant Writing Workshops” which are open to all GDRSD educators and staff members as well as interested residents of the communities of Groton and Dunstable. These seminars will be led by energetic GDEF volunteer and Groton resident Ellen Hoggard-Cocossa who has worked in the field of international education and youth exchange for 22 years. During her tenure in this field, she has written grant applications for both government and private foundation funding that have helped organizations obtain grant funds in excess of 1 million dollars. Says Ms. Hoggard-Cocossa, “My hope is that these seminars can help residents and educators in Groton and Dunstable successfully write grant applications to fund programs that enrich and enhance the quality of our lives – especially in the area of our children and their education.” The Grant Writing Workshops are scheduled as follows:
If you are interested in attending one of these workshops, please reserve a place by emailing info@gdefinc.org. Grant applications for this cycle will be accepted until May 1 and recipients will be announced the second week of June. The GDEF Board of Directors scheduled this cycle in anticipation of professional development courses that could be completed this summer and for classes beginning September 2004. For an application for this grants cycle or an overview of grants awarded in the January 2004 cycle, please visit the Grant Applications page on our website at www.gdefinc.org.
