Last Week of Ticket Sales for GDEF’s Bet
Your Lucky Stars! Event
Ticket sales are well underway for GDEF’s “Bet Your Lucky Stars!” dinner
dance, auction and raffle. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to have a
great evening and benefit the schools at the same time! The event will
feature mouthwatering fare with entrée choice of tender beef medallions in a
burgundy mushroom sauce or seared breast of chicken with a light lemon
pepper seasoning. Then Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood will kick the party
into high gear - visit GDEF’s website at www.gdefinc.org to hear clips of
the band’s award-winning brand of bluesy rock!
Silent and live auctions will feature some very special items, including
golf equipment and outings; Red Sox tickets; fine crafts from area artisans;
a Chocolate Lover’s basket; a publicity tour and visit to WROR’s Loren and
Wally Show; a guitar signed by the band; vacation week and summer camps;
Indian Hill Orchestra tickets; portrait photography packages; a selection of
fine wines; gift certificates for area fine dining and more. If you have a
unique item that you would like to donate as an auction item for this worthy

The event will also mark the official launch of GDEF’s “Bet Your Lucky
Stars!” money raffle, with cash prizes of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000. Raffle
Chair Cheryl Smith says, “Only 400 tickets will be sold, so chances of
winning are better than 1 in 134 - better odds than the lottery, and you
can’t really lose because proceeds benefit our kids!” Three lucky winners
will be chosen on Thursday, May 25th.
Dinner ticket sales close Friday, March 10th - order now so you
don’t miss this fabulous evening! Ticket order forms are available at
www.gdefinc.org, Moison Ace Hardware on Main Street in Groton, and the
Dunstable Free Public Library in Dunstable. Dinner dance tickets are $60.00
per person, and can also be ordered on-line using a credit card through
GDEF’s website at www.gdefinc.org. Raffle tickets are $50.00; they can be
ordered now or bought at the event. Orders may be dropped at either of the
