Media Release Groton Dunstable Education Foundation Announces “Grant Writing Workshop” In an effort to ensure a successful grant cycle the GDEF is pleased to announce our “Grant Writing Workshop” which is open to all GDRSD educators and staff members as well as interested residents of the communities of Groton and Dunstable. This workshop will be led by energetic GDEF volunteer and Groton resident Ellen Hoggard-Cocossa, who has worked in the field of international education and youth exchange for 22 years. During her tenure in this field she has written grant applications for both government and private foundation funding that have helped organizations obtain grant funds in excess of 1 million dollars. S ays Ms. Hoggard-Cocossa, “My hope is that this workshop can help residents and educators in Groton and Dunstable successfully write grant applications to fund programs that enrich and enhance the quality of our lives – especially in the area of our children and their education.” The Grant Writing Workshop will be held in the Middle School North Conference Room Monday, March 20, 3:30-4:30 p.m. (refreshments from 3 p.m.). The workshop is free and no registration is necessary, but if you know you will be attending please email info@gdefinc.org to assist us in our planning. Grant applications for this cycle will be accepted until April 1 and recipients will be announced in May. The GDEF Board of Directors scheduled this cycle in anticipation of professional development courses that could be completed this summer and for classes beginning September 2006.
