Letter to the Editor The Groton Dunstable Education Foundation has successfully completed its fourth grant cycle and would like to announce the funding of 14 grants totaling almost $26,000. Since GDEF came into existence not quite two years ago, we have funded forty-nine grants totaling more than $85,000 for innovative and enriching programs benefiting the students and staff of the Groton Dunstable Regional School District. These programs simply would not have been possible in these financially difficult times without the work of this Education Foundation and the work of the Groton Dunstable Education Foundation would not have been possible without the support of the communities of Groton and Dunstable and local area businesses. We, the Board of Directors of GDEF, thank each and every one of you who have supported our mission through attendance at our fundraisers, donations to our Teaching Stars program, contributions of your time, energy and money and your words of encouragement. As we begin our third year this July, we look forward to continuing our work to support our publicly funded schools, and we invite you to join us for our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 8th in Sibley Hall at the Groton Public Library at 11:00 a.m. to find out about our activities in the past year and plans for the future. Thank you for your continued support. Sincerely,
Kristen Stone
