Quality Read-Aloud Literature Collection $500 Funds to start a collection of read-aloud books to support the Guided Reading and Writing program

Classical & World Music Library $400 Provides funding for a collection of classical and world music CDs, including music from other countries and cultures

"The Enviroscape" NRWA Youth Education Program $238 Provides partial funding for an interactive program on watersheds and the effects of various pollutants that affect our rivers, streams and wetlands, presented by the Nashua River Watershed Association -
 funded in conjunction with the Groton Commissioners of Trust, who provided an additional $556 to make this grant possible

Creating Strategic Readers $700 Provides funds to expand the Shared Literature collection

"Second Step" Training $2,046 Funding for training in the  "Second Step" research-based social competency curriculum, designed to promote healthy social interaction

Rock with Science: Pilot Geology/Landform Project $2,100 Enhancement of the science curriculum with hands-on, multidisciplinary program, including teacher training

LCD Projector & Cart for Physical/Behavioral Health

 

$300 Provides partial funding for LCD projector to help integrate technology into the Physical & Behavorial Health curriculum, allowing students to view educational fitness materials - funded in conjunction with the Groton Commissioners of Trust, who provided an additional $3,000 to make this grant possible

initially submitted to GDEF.

Rainbow Players: Disability Awareness at the High School Level $1,100 Workshops by theater troupe with a variety of disabilities to highlight issues of discrimination, bullying & self-esteem, and to train various High School leadership groups on ways to promote disability awareness and inclusion

Appreciation of Theater Arts $800 Funds supplemental pantomime and improvisation workshops to enhance the Theater Arts curriculum

Photography & Graphic Design $9,000 Provides equipment to upgrade and expand the Photography and Graphic Design programs, incorporating new technology
